Screenshot Capture & Share — Save to Google Drive ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension that lets you capture screenshots and optionally upload them to your own Google Drive account. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect

We collect no personal data. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any account information.
• We do not store screenshots on any server.
• We do not send screenshots to any third party.
• We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies.
• We do not have any backend server — the Extension runs entirely in your browser.

2. Screenshots

Screenshots you capture are stored only in your browser's local storage (temporarily, while you use the editor). They are never uploaded anywhere automatically. A screenshot is only uploaded to Google Drive when you explicitly click the Upload button.

3. Google Drive Access

If you choose to connect Google Drive, the Extension requests the drive.file scope only. This means:

• The Extension can only access files it creates itself — not your existing Drive files.
• Your Google authentication token is never stored by the Extension. It is managed securely by Chrome's built-in identity system (chrome.identity).
• Only a flag (driveConnected: true) is saved locally to remember that you are connected.
• You can disconnect Google Drive at any time from the Settings page — this immediately revokes the token.

4. Permissions Explained

• activeTab / scripting — to capture the current browser tab.
• storage — to temporarily hold screenshots and your settings locally in your browser.
• downloads — to save screenshots to your PC when you click "Save to PC".
• identity — to sign in with Google via Chrome's secure OAuth system.
• desktopCapture / windows — to capture desktop or window screenshots when you request it.

5. Third-Party Services

The only third-party service used is Google Drive (optional, only if you sign in). Your use of Google Drive is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use any other third-party services, SDKs, or APIs.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any user data with any third party — because we do not collect any user data.

7. Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. It is a general-purpose tool with no age-restricted content.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
